This is more than just a nursing role, it's a chance to be present, to listen, to comfort, and to care when it matters most. You’ll be part of a values-driven team that supports each other and takes pride in delivering exceptional, dignified care.

The Specialist Palliative Care Service at Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a dedicated RN to join our experienced, multidisciplinary team. This is your opportunity to work across hospital, home, and residential care settings, supporting patients and families through some of life’s most meaningful and vulnerable moments.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive palliative nursing care across acute, community, and residential aged care settings. This includes care for inpatients referred to the consultation service, clients at home or in residential aged care facilities (RACFs), and supporting intake and triage functions.

This position operates primarily Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:00, with participation in a rotating after-hours on-call roster (17:00 to 20:30). Staff may also be rostered to cover a day shift on weekends approximately every 4–5 weeks, depending on leave and service needs. There will be a 6 week orientation program provided.

You will work collaboratively with an experienced, multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, compassionate care that supports patients and their families through end-of-life care, including bereavement support and advanced care planning.
