In this role, you're not a cog, you’ll see the difference you make in real time, helping people in crisis access compassionate, efficient, dignified care.
What the role looks like:
- Lead mental health assessments and crisis interventions right at the ED front door.
- Partner with ED staff, psychiatrists, mental health teams, and community services, because integration and collaboration matters.
- Be a stabilising presence: risk assessments, de-escalation, coordination of complex mental health presentations.
- Spotlight your clinical judgement, calm under pressure, and empathy.

Who you are:
- You must have existing mental health experience ideally in an acute setting.
- You hold current AHPRA registration as an RN.
- You bring empathy, clarity, and composure when things get messy.
- You thrive in a collaborative, communicative, high-stakes environment.
- You accept the flexibility of a 24/7 rotating roster (that includes nights and weekends).
- You hold valid Australian work rights (citizen or permanent resident).
