Our Sterilising Services unit is built on a culture of support, collaboration, and high performance. As a casual Sterilisation Technician, you will play a vital role in meeting the healthcare needs and expectations of patients, clinicians, staff, and the broader community by upholding excellence within the Sterilising Services Department.
Your core responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely provision of sterile and thermally disinfected medical and surgical instruments essential for patient care. This must be performed in strict accordance with applicable standards, Ministry of Health directives, organisational policies, and the specific procedures and protocols set by SSD Management.
About the Role
The Sterilising Technician role is part of the Sterilising Services Departments (SSD) within the Central Coast Local Health District, operating across both Gosford and Wyong campuses. These units function under a unified "one unit, two campus" model, which promotes consistency, seamless service delivery, and enhanced quality control throughout the District. This integrated structure also enables flexible sharing of staff, skills, and resources between campuses to support optimal outcomes.
The role involves actively contributing to quality improvement initiatives and delivering exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
