About the Opportunity

Join our Emergency Department as a Physiotherapist Level 4 and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, evidence-informed physiotherapy care while providing clinical leadership within a collaborative multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine advanced clinical practice with service development, quality improvement and mentoring to help shape the future of physiotherapy services across the Central Coast.

This position plays a key role in ensuring continuity of care and enhancing the overall patient experience. In this role you will:

  • Provide advanced physiotherapy assessment, treatment and clinical leadership to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Lead, support and mentor Physiotherapists and students, fostering professional development and promoting best practice.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families and community partners to ensure coordinated, seamless care.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives, implement evidence-informed practice and contribute to service planning and workforce development.
  • Manage a complex clinical caseload while supporting the ongoing evaluation, safety and continuous improvement of Emergency Department.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Extensive clinical experience as a registered Physiotherapist in an Emergency Department setting, with advanced knowledge and skills in managing complex presentations.
  • Proven leadership experience, including the ability to coordinate services, mentor staff and support workforce development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement initiatives and implementing evidence-informed practice to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise competing demands while maintaining a high standard of clinical care.
