Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to lead nursing services within the Women, Children, and Families unit, playing a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and driving service improvements in this thriving region.
Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to lead and manage nursing services within the Women, Children, and Families unit. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, optimising resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strong leadership and management of nursing services, ensuring high standards of care and efficient resource use.

Foster a positive, person-centred work culture by inspiring, mentoring, and supporting nursing staff.

Act as a clinical role model, promoting best practices and professional development among team members.

Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compassionate care delivery.

Oversee resource management including budgeting, staffing, stock, and equipment to maximise service delivery.

Lead patient safety, quality improvement, policy implementation, and accreditation efforts.

Collaborate with senior management to implement strategic priorities aligned with the “Trusted Care. Better Health for Everyone” framework and achieve KPIs.

Maintain accountability for personal and team clinical practice, professional conduct, and continuous performance improvement in line with nursing standards and legislation.

About You:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health management or working towards same and/or equivalent experience in nurse management as deemed appropriate by CCLHD
- Current driver's licence and ability to travel around the Central Coast
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
