At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for an experienced and collaborative Manager, Mental Health Social Work to lead and support the delivery of high-quality mental health allied health services.
About the Opportunity
As the Manager, Mental Health Social Work, you will provide frontline leadership and day-to-day oversight of a range of Mental Health Allied Health Social Work programs supporting consumers as they transition into, through, and out of mental health services.
This role is pivotal in strengthening the integration of specialist services across the broader mental health and NSW Health system, supporting people, families, and carers at critical transition points. You will work collaboratively with mental health teams, allied health professionals, community-managed organisations, Aboriginal Health organisations, and other key stakeholders to develop and implement effective, evidence-based models of care.
In this role you will:
- Lead the development and implementation of allied health models of care that support effective transition from acute and emergency services to primary and community care.
- Provide leadership across a range of mental health-focused service programs and support continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Build strong partnerships with consumers, carers, staff, government and non-government providers, and community organisations.
- Lead consultation, negotiation, and change management activities to support the development and implementation of innovative models of care.
- Use current evidence, literature, and best practice to inform service planning, evaluation, and improvement.
- Monitor project implementation, prepare reports and provide advice to LHD Executive on outcomes, progress, and evaluation findings.
- Manage allocated resources and budgets to ensure services achieve their intended outcomes efficiently and effectively.
- Promote inclusive, culturally appropriate, and person-centred services that respond to the needs of diverse communities across the lifespan.

About You
We are looking for an experienced and collaborative leader who has:
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Allied Health with registration in the appropriate professional discipline, or qualifications in health service management.
- Demonstrated experience providing leadership across a range of service programs with a mental health focus.
- Strong interpersonal, consultation, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead change, develop innovative solutions, and improve the productivity and effectiveness of services.
- Demonstrated capacity to interpret, monitor, and evaluate policies, procedures, and standards to support high-quality consumer care.
- Strong negotiation, delegation, and people management skills.
- A commitment to collaborative, consumer-centred care and to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTIQ+ people, and people across the lifespan.
