Remuneration: $2,154.06 - $2,223.86 per week, $56.68 - $58.52 per hour

This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

We are seeking skilled and passionate Senior Physiotherapist Level 3s to join our team at the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) - Emergency Department. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed physiotherapy care to patients, their families, and caregivers as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will play a key role in enhancing clinical practice and service delivery while providing leadership and mentorship to junior staff and students.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering specialised physiotherapy services for clients. You will exercise independent professional judgment in managing complex cases that require advanced practice skills, utilising evidence-based approaches to achieve optimal patient outcomes. You will also supervise and support Level 1 and 2 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, and students, ensuring their professional development through active engagement in education and training initiatives. Your contributions will include identifying and implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of clinical service delivery while adhering to professional, organisational, and ethical standards.

About You
You will have:
- A Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA), and a current valid Australian driver's licence.
- The ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication, and have extensive musculoskeletal assessment and treatment experience, preferably in a primary contact role in an Emergency Department environment.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development, particularly in the Emergency Department setting.
