About the Role
Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a dynamic and experienced nursing leader to oversee professional practice across Gosford and Woy Woy Hospitals. As Director of Nursing & Midwifery, you will play a key role in shaping service delivery, leading clinical standards, and strengthening workforce culture aligned with our vision, Trusted care. Better health for everyone.
This executive-level role has both operational and professional responsibilities, leading strategic workforce planning, supporting quality and safety, and building capability across a broad portfolio. You’ll partner with senior leaders and frontline teams to deliver compassionate, timely and safe care to our community.
You will lead a diverse leadership group, including the Deputy DoNM, After Hours Nurse Managers, Patient Flow Manager, Clinical Support Officers and Nurse Managers across specialty areas including Cancer Services, Renal, Women’s & Children’s Health, and Woy Woy Hospital.

About You
You're a confident and collaborative senior nurse leader, committed to excellence in care and growing a skilled, engaged and supported workforce.
You bring:
- Current AHPRA registration (Division 1) and postgraduate qualifications in Nursing and/or Management.
- Strong executive-level leadership in complex health environments.
- Proven capability in patient flow, NHPPD, workforce planning, and clinical governance.
- A values-led leadership style with a focus on relationships, accountability and innovation.
You understand that leadership is about culture as much as strategy and you lead with purpose, connection and integrity.
