About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE), you’ll lead, support and grow the capability of our surgical nursing workforce through:

  • Delivering high-quality education programs and in-services
  • Providing bedside teaching and one-on-one clinical support
  • Leading mentorship, preceptorship and professional development
  • Working collaboratively with NUMs and staff to identify learning priorities
  • Contributing to the development and review of clinical procedures and guidelines
  • Role modelling evidence-based practice and professional standards
  • Promoting a strong culture of learning and development across the team

This role is suited to a nurse educator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values strong team relationships, and is committed to continuous improvement in both people and practice.

About You   

You’ll bring a passion for surgical nursing, a supportive approach to staff development, and:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Relevant post-registration qualifications or equivalent clinical and education experience
  • Demonstrated experience delivering clinical education in a hospital environment
  • A strong understanding of adult learning principles, assessment frameworks and educational best practice
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with individuals and teams
  • Proficiency using clinical and digital systems relevant to surgical practice
