We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team. The successful candidate will provide assertive outreach and intensive case management to children and young people (aged 0–17 years) experiencing acute mental health distress. This is a vital role within a multidisciplinary team, where you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the resolution of mental health crises and support the recovery journey of young individuals and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical services to children, young people, and their families/carers, helping to resolve mental health crises.
  • Deliver evidence-based, recovery-focused individual therapy tailored to the needs of young people.
  • Involve families and carers in assessments, care plans, and reviews to ensure holistic and comprehensive support.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of professionals and agencies, participating in case conferences and team meetings to ensure the best care outcomes.
  • Offer consultation and guidance to colleagues and external partners, supporting the management and care of young people in need.

  • Counsellor Level 3

About You
  • You have a unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • You have Postgraduate experience working within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health service or Mental Health Service.
  • You meet the Essential Criteria with qualifications and APHRA registration if required. 
  • You will need to be available to work midday to 8:30 pm Monday to Friday and 09:30-06:00 pm on a Saturday to Sunday. This is a rotating roster.
