Senior Project Officer, Strategy and Planning

We are looking for someone who can
- Manage the development and implementation of strategic initiatives ensuring high levels of work performance and completion of projects within agreed timeframes, quality standards and budget.
- Research, evaluate and contribute to the development of strategies, plans and frameworks, and prepare high-quality reports for the ACI, as requested by the Manager, Strategy & Planning and Lead, Strategy & Planning.
- Work collaboratively with ACI teams to review strategic and operational planning initiatives, implement improvement strategies, and provide clear, timely reports to governance committees to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
- Develop and maintain essential project and change management documentation, ensuring accurate tracking of project status, milestones, risks, and achievements. Communicate updates clearly to governance committees, managers, senior leadership and other key stakeholders.

What you will be doing
The Senior Project Officer, Strategy & Planning will develop and coordinate strategic projects and initiatives that drive improvement across the Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI), ensuring alignment with the ACI's strategic goals and objectives.
The role also provides high-level advice and support to the Manager, Strategy & Planning and works collaboratively with ACI teams to coordinate strategic planning, reporting, and the development of new initiatives.
Employment details
Employment Type: Full Time Exempt (18 months)
Position Classification: Health Manager Level 3
Remuneration: $127,150.00 - $144,444.00 per annum excluding Superannuation
Hours Per Week: 40 (38 standard + 2hrs toward ADO)

Selection Criteria
- Experience in designing and implementing medium to large-scale strategic initiatives ensuring that they are delivered on time and meet stakeholders' needs.
- Demonstrated experience in applying project and/or change management methodologies to deliver complex initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – with a track record of making recommendations based on relevant evidence.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex environment, managing multiple projects and stakeholders across diverse teams and subject matter areas.
