  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  2. A minimum of three months experience in psychiatry OR demonstrated achievement of significant skills in another clinical specialty or primary care medicine that is transferrable to the psychiatric care of patients .
  3. Demonstrated experience in taking a comprehensive patient history, performing clinical examinations and accurately documenting treatment in the patients record.
  4. Able to make sound decisions in accordance with level of experience and awareness of limitations and the ability to learn independently from experience and improve clinical practice.
  5. Proven ability to treat colleagues and patients with respect in a culturally diverse environment.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team to ensure the appropriate management of the patient.
  7. NSW unrestricted drivers license or eligible overseas/international driving license.
