What you'll be doing
 

To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide effective obstetric and gynaecological services to women under 
supervision, while developing expertise in managing these women in a complex clinical environment. 
 
  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  2. Completion of at least two postgraduate years with a minimum of 1 year experience in women's health, with clinical competence in procedural obstetrics including assisted vaginal and caesarean deliveries and management of obstetrical emergencies.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work in a complex clinical environment, excellent clinical skills and judgment together with teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical settings and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Experience and willingness to teach junior medical staff/medical students and a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
  5. Preparedness and ability to work independently in a supervised environment.
  6. A professional attitude and flexibility in work roles with a preparedness and ability to participate in afterhours roster.
  7. Knowledge of relevant NSW Health policy.
