What you'll be doing
 

This is a General Pathology Registrar position within the department of Anatomical Pathology, with conditions of training requirements as determined by RCPA. Candidates with previous experience in Anatomical Pathology, especially specimen grossing (cut up), would be highly desirable.

The position is for a full year in the Dubbo Antomical Pathology Laboratory without rotation to other disciplines of Pathology, including Cytology.

 

Selection Criteria

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
  2. Evidence of general registration and possess a minimum of two (2) years postgraduate clinical experience OR hold an overseas Trained Specialist determination issued by the RCPA.
  3. Demonstrated experience in or commitment to the discipline of pathology.
  4. Demonstrated personal qualities including motivation, initiative, time management and commitment to professional development.
  5. Proven ability to work as a team member with effective communication and interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and clinical quality improvement activities.
